SuperSyncTM Disk Array for Stratus VOS Computers
SuperSync Disk Array is a magnetic disk storage device that protects your data in the event of a drive failure even while running simplexed during a rebuild. The internal parity drive keeps the SuperSync™ Disk Array working in the event of a drive failure. Cache is battery backed, so no I/Os are lost even in a power failure or component-level crash. SuperSync Disk Array is available for Continuum in a SCSI model for connection via the BIO (K450/K460) port, or in a Continuum fiber model for connection to the K480 fiber controller. SuperSync is also available in a V Series fiber model for connection to the U528 fiber controller, or for the output fiber port (daisy chain) on the D900 disk enclosure (JBOD). Each SuperSync can be configured to be up to 12 (SCSI Model) or 14 (Fiber Model) VOS disks . With SuperSync you get a pair and a spare, an extra standby hard drive, and a SuperSync Support Hub for remote dial-in support.
