About DRA

Data Research and Applications, Inc. (DRA) was founded in 1982. Since that time, DRA has provided high-quality products and services to some of the largest and most successful companies and organizations in the world.

DRA sold its first product to AC Neilson and Company and, in 1984, DRA formed a strategic alliance with Stratus Computer, Inc. Sales to Motorola, Bell Communications Research Lab, and Scientific Games, Inc. followed. Our first sale to a Stratus user was for serial number 115.

By 1987, DRA included in its customer base 1 out of every 10 Stratus customers worldwide. Today the number has grown to companies and organizations in 33 countries on 6 continents.

Over the years DRA's focus has evolved into a specialization in the development and support of hardware products for critical online processing applications. Users whose computing applications preclude the loss of a single transaction or service availability turn to DRA for solutions including high-speed access to enterprise storage facilities, redundant storage, high-speed backups, and protection from disasters.

Today, companies such as Bank of New York, Citibank, Bernard Madoff, Pacific Stock Exchange, Bear Stearns, QVC, SWIFT, and Sermepa turn to Data Research and Applications, for highly-reliable, high-capacity, high-performance storage and disaster recovery solutions.

Our experienced personnel combined with our worldwide 24/7 service organization enable us to deliver solutions to users of online computing applications around the clock and around the world.

Many DRA products are sold and supported by Stratus Technologies.  Check with your Stratus representative for DRA product availability via the Stratus sales channel.
